Step 1: Submit an Adoption Application
When you feel you’ve found a cat that may be a good fit, please complete our Adoption Application.
Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption. Applications are reviewed to ensure the best possible match for each cat.
Step 2: Application Review
Once your application is submitted, our team will review it. If we feel it may be a good match, we’ll move forward to the next step.
Step 3: Foster Call
If your application is approved, we’ll arrange a call between you and the cat’s foster caregiver. This is an opportunity to learn more about the cat’s personality, behaviour, routine, and needs in a home environment and to ask any questions you may have.
Step 4: Meet & Greet
If both the adopter and foster feel it’s a good fit, we’ll arrange a meet-and-greet. This may take place:
- In person, or
- Virtually, depending on circumstances and the cat’s location
Step 5: Home Visit or Reference Check
Depending on the cat and their specific needs, we may conduct a home visit or contact references to ensure the environment is safe and suitable.
Step 6: Finalizing the Adoption
Once approved, we’ll guide you through the adoption agreement and any final steps. Your new pet will come with vet records, vaccinations, and a microchip.
